I was thinking today how grateful I am that God decided to create us, even knowing all the bad in the world that would come at the fall of man. I am so thankful to be able to experience life, even with the bad mixed in there with all the good. I, like us all, have experienced a lot of bad, but with God’s help, I’ve gotten through it to the other side, and am stronger and closer to God because of it.
I am also thankful to my mother for giving me a chance to be born and live this life. She was a very young mother. She could have let fear overwhelm her, or decided I would be too big of an inconvenience, or that she wasn’t ready for a child yet. Instead she embraced me and allowed me to be born and to live on this earth.
Life is a precious gift. Even when it isn’t perfect or lovely all of the time – it’s a precious gift to be treasured.
We took these shaggy guys to get cleaned up at Sports Clips.
And cleaned up they did! Look how sharp my dudes look.
We hung around the house and then decided on a trip to the neighborhood sports park to play frisbee and football. Oh and can’t forget the awesome nerf gun!
They have the coolest daddy around.
Daddy is on vacation. We spent the first day at Little Elm Park. We fed the ducks. We walked along the beach. And then finished by playing at the park. It was hot but windy so it wasn’t too bad. We drove across the street to Bella’s Cafe for lunch. It was a great start to his time off.
I love this man with all my heart. I’m so happy he’s the father of my children and my life partner.
Uncle Alan was in town last week. We had dinner and birthday celebrations Monday. Wednesday we met at my in-laws and all piled into my van and drove to a local seafood joint for dinner. It was a delicious meal. The place was really loud with the music and everyone talking and the kids weren’t the best behaved, but it was a family meal and it was a memory and it was sweet to be together. Thursday Adam and his brothers and dad went to play golf. We then met them after school for dinner and cards and another great evening together. Saturday they all came to our house in the morning. We looked through Alan’s pictures from the week and talked before they went out to a wine tour before Alan traveled back to Missouri. It was a great week of family togetherness.
